More than just a team, we are a family united by love for our beautiful country and all its wonders. We are committed to sharing this love ethically and sustainably with visitors from around the world.
Office Staff
Our office team is the engine that drives our operations, dedicated to creating memorable travel experiences for our clients. They work tirelessly, handling everything from reservations and customer service to itinerary customization and comprehensive logistical management. Their deep travel knowledge, combined with exceptional organizational and customer service skills, ensures that each experience is unique and tailored to the interests and needs of every traveler.
Our guides
At Ausangate Adventure, we have a team of 100% local guides from the communities of the Cusco region. They not only conquer high-mountain trails but also know the Andean culture, history, and customs, offering a genuine and enriching experience with every step.
Our guides are tourism graduates and certified to lead routes such as Machu Picchu, the Ausangate Trek, Rainbow Mountain, the Salkantay Trek, and other high-altitude treks. Additionally, they receive ongoing training in first aid, leadership, and international customer service.
They accompany the group from hotel pickup to return, overseeing the entire tour. For personalized service, each group has a primary guide, and if the group exceeds eight people, a second support guide is added.
More than mountain guides, our guides are cultural hosts, dedicated to your safety, learning, and connection with Peruvian culture.
Trekking Cooks
At Ausangate Adventure, we believe that nutrition is essential for enjoying the mountains. That’s why our team includes trekking chefs who are passionate about their work and dedicated to providing you with a memorable culinary experience, even at altitudes of over 4,000 meters. Our chefs prepare nutritious, balanced, and delicious meals using fresh, local ingredients from Andean communities. Each lunch is prepared to replenish energy after the hikes, blending traditional Peruvian dishes with international flavors to suit every palate.
We also cater to any special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.) so that everyone can enjoy a healthy and delicious meal. Thanks to the skill and warmth of our cooks, every lunch and dinner is a moment of rest, flavor, and camaraderie that makes the trek as delicious as it is unforgettable.
Arrieros (Horsemen)
At Ausangate Adventure, we value the work of our muleteers, guardians of the Andes and a fundamental part of every expedition. Experts in handling horses and mules, they carry all the equipment and provisions with care and precision, ensuring that each campsite is ready on time and that the journey runs smoothly.
Our muleteers are high-Andean residents of the Ausangate community, with ancestral knowledge of trails, weather, and animals. Their experience and connection with nature guarantee safety and success on every expedition.
