Your safety comes first
First aid kit.
Our guides will be equipped with a portable oxygen tank and a comprehensive first aid kit, including medications and essential tools to use during the hike. If you require medical attention, feel free to reach out to them; they will be more than willing to provide the necessary assistance. However, we recommend that you bring your own first aid kit if you are taking prescription medications or any specific medication you may need during the hike.
Oxygen Tanks
To ensure the safety of our passengers, we carry emergency oxygen cylinders to prevent altitude sickness during the journey.
Emergency Horse
On each of our alternative hikes, such as Ausangate, Rainbow Mountain, and Salkantay, among others, we always have an emergency horse available in case you feel unwell or fatigued. Additionally, we will provide you with helmets to ensure your safety while riding the horse. We recommend that you consult your guide if you need any help or assistance during the hike.
Medical Blood Pressure Monitor
We ensure to monitor your cardiovascular health and blood pressure while you're in the mountains. Our guides are trained to use this tool, ensuring your safety and allowing you to fully enjoy the adventure safely.
Oximeter
Each Ausangate Adventure guide carries an oximeter to monitor how you're feeling as you ascend to higher altitudes, displaying your oxygen levels. As everyone reacts differently to altitude, our guides will inform you and advise if additional oxygen is necessary. Additionally, they will always be prepared with oxygen tanks to ensure your safety at all times during the hike.
