Ausangate Adventure

We value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you who we are and how we use the information we collect. Please read the following information carefully. By booking a tour with Ausangate Adventure you agree to all of our terms and conditions.

RESERVATIONS WITH AUSANGATE ADVENTURE:

For any reservation on our website, you must provide all your passport details requested at the time of booking (full name, passport number, date of birth, nationality, gender). Once we get payment confirmation, we will check availability and secure permits. tour is 100% confirmed.

To book a tour with Ausangate adventure, you only need to pay a deposit. The amount varies depending on the time of the reservation:

  • Day hike: For all day hikes, you must make an initial deposit of50 USD per person.
  • Alternative hikes: For all hikes that do not include Machu Picchu, you must make an initial deposit of 200 USD per person.
  • For all Machu Picchu Tours, including day trips by train, you must deposit 200 USD per person.
  • For custom multi-day tours with hotels, you must make an initial payment of 30% of the total tour cost; This initial payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The initial deposit amount is based on the expenses to book your tours, such as permits, Machu Picchu tickets, train tickets, and hotels. The specific deposit amount required is mentioned on each tour package, which is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

EASY PAYMENTS:

You can pay Ausangate Adventure using any Credit Card or bank transfer. You can pay with PAYPAL, in order to pay with PayPal, please contact us to send you a custom link.

Alternatively, you can pay via Western Union. Please contact us and we will provide you with more information.

REMAINING BALANCE:

The remaining balance can be paid upon arrival in Cusco in cash only, and we ask that you pay prior to your tour departure. If you are unable to arrive in Cusco that long before your trip, we ask that you notify our sales team to make arrangements. You can pay the remaining balance in Cash at our office with Peruvian soles, dollars (or a combination or your own currency, we do not accept torn bills), or Credit Card (card payments apply 5.5% commission).

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS:


The cancellation request must be made via email by the person who made the reservation and paid the deposit to ausangateadventure@gamil.com

Cancellation charges:

  • Cancellations made 30 days in advance have no additional charges.
  • If the client cancels between 10 and 30 days before their trip, they must pay 50% of the total cost of the trip.
  • If the client cancels between 10 and 3 days before their trip, they must pay 80% of the total cost of the trip.
  • If the client cancels 2 days or less before their trip, they must pay 100% of the total cost.
  • In the event that a client decides to abandon once the trip has started, no refund will be made. The client must pay any additional expenses that arise by his/her own decision: food, accommodation and transportation. If desired, the client can join the group and participate in the Machu Picchu tour on the last day.
  • If the client is unable to participate in the walk due to illness or physical problems, no refund will be made. The client must also pay for additional expenses incurred: food, accommodation and transportation. If desired, the client can join the group and participate in the Machu Picchu tour on the last day.
  • In the event of a natural disaster or a fortuitous event that prevents the performance of a service, the client will receive a refund of 50% of their deposit considering administrative expenses.
  • Refunds are only processed to the original credit card/account used to make the reservation.

Day tours such as Rainbow Mountain, Seven Lagoons of Ausangate, Sacred Valley, Maras Moray and other day tours and treks that do not include Machu Picchu are fully refundable up to 3 days before departure.

FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS.

This includes war or threats of war, riots, strikes, terrorism, disease, natural disasters, adverse weather, fires or similar calamities. Ausangate Adventure reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel tours. (cancellation is usually the last option, we usually offer an alternative option).

TRAVEL INSURANCE.

The tourist programs and services offered by Ausangate Adventure do not include any type of medical or accident insurance if required, we recommend our passengers take out international travel insurance from their place of origin.

In the event of illness or injury on one of our circuits, we are trained to provide emergency first aid and arrange transport to an appropriate medical facility. However, we are not responsible for the cost of transportation services or medical care.

ABOUT THE PASSPORT IN MACHU PICCHU.

  • Once the tour reservation is confirmed, we will immediately send the information to the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel reservation office so that permits can be issued and the tour can be guaranteed.
  • The original passport must be carried for all services. Photocopies will not be accepted.
  • The information that we will send to the Inca citadel reservation office of Machu Picchu includes full name, passport number, nationality, sex and age. This information cannot be modified.
  • To renew the passport, it is suggested to also bring the old one or, failing that, take a photograph of the old one.
  • If the passport number does not match the ones previously provided to us, the trip cannot begin.
  • The passport is valid for six months.
  • The client must inform the company that he has a new passport. If the client does not report the existence of a new passport upon arriving in Cusco, it will not be the responsibility of Ausangate Adventure.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION:

All rooms are standard doubles (two single beds) with private bathrooms. We can organize rooms with double beds upon request. Hotel upgrades are available. Please let us know in advance of any updates or special requests so we can arrange them for you. A single supplement applies for a single room.

DURING THE TOURS

  • Return train tickets from Machu Picchu are subject to availability. After the tour, arrival time back to your hotel depends on train availability. Ausangate Adventure reserves the right to reserve the most convenient trains for the group. If you must take specific trains earlier or later, please advise by email in advance; Additional charges may apply for last minute changes
  • During the tour, you must strictly follow the instructions of the tour guides. All the Inca sites and places we visit have restrictions that must be followed. If you have problems with the tours, please inform your guide or the office staff to resolve any issues.
  • If you are unable to continue your tour due to illness or injury, we will help you return to the nearest medical center or hotel. You must cover transportation costs and medical expenses. However, we will provide you with a certificate to help you with your insurance company. Travel insurance is not mandatory, but we recommend purchasing one for your trip.
  • Ausangate Adventure reserves the right to cancel, modify or reschedule the tour in case of adverse weather conditions, disasters, strikes or injuries during the trips. In this case, standard terms and conditions will apply.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

Embarking on an adventure, such as the tours we offer, may involve the risk of illness or injury caused by forces of nature, animals, insects and flora. By booking your trip, you acknowledge these risks and request to participate voluntarily.
